The 2007 season is upon us, and we're really pleased to welcome some new members to The Guild.
First up is Frankie Pigerham, who has single handedly reduced our average collective age! Frankie is based in Suffolk, currently studying for exams, and her main interest is in the early periods up to early Tudor . Having said that, she is also coming to Basildon to sample the more gracious ages. She has already been to both the St. Georges Fair at Cressing and the multi period event at Rockingham Castle and has proved to be a dab hand with putting up tents, which has made her doubly welcome! Next to join us is Fish whom we first met at Cressing where her stunning embroidery was being much admired. Specialising in the Saxon period, Fish is extremely knowledgeable about costume and authenticity for her area. We hope she may be able to join us at Hinchingbrooke, as the day is going to reflect the impact of the romans on our society through into the dark ages. For both new members their contact details are on the list in the members' area of this website. |
