The Guild is picking up a new head of steam:

Following a members' meeting at the Rockingham Castle weekend, we are really pleased to announce that Eleanor McGann was unanimously elected as the new chair of the Guild. In fact, so many people had nominated her that there were few left to do the actual voting. Members of the Living History Forum will already know her as Eleanor of Essex.

Eleanor particularly enjoys outrageous roles such as the  tudor spice merchant with a wealth of tall tales about just why the prices are so high, the nun with the dubious relics (recently at Peterborough Cathedral), the original roman Essex girl with a taste for luxury imports, and, of course, Egyptian priestess.

Eleanor can be contacted at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for bookings.
